Dr. Larry Robinson

Dr. Lary Robinson has long been associated with excellence in the field of mesothelioma research and treatment. A native of Kansas, Dr. Robinson received his undergraduate pre-medical degree from the University of Kansas before attending Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Robinson completed his residency at the Duke University Medical Center and participated in a fellowship within cardiac research and clinical cardiac surgery in the United Kingdom at St. Thomas Hospital, London.

Dr. Robinson began practicing medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he served as Associate Professor of Surgery and Pharmacology. A lifelong advocate, Dr. Robinson also served as the Clinical Director of the Clinical Perfusion Science Education Program at UNMC. Today Dr. Robinson serves as the Director of the Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he is also a Professor of Surgery. In addition to academic endeavors, Dr. Robinson is also the chief thoracic surgical oncologist at H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center and Research Institute. Dr. Robinson's research and practice within the field of thoracic surgery and mesothelioma has contributed to the growing knowledge of multi-modality treatment programs for patients of aggressive thoracic cancers. Particularly important has been Dr. Robinson's advancements in the field of cardiothoracic surgery and pericardial mesothelioma.

Today, Dr. Robinson serves as a loyal representative of the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is the author of over 125 medical publications and has participated directly in at least 8 clinical research cancer trials, including some concerning mesothelioma.
